Februrary Woodland Pictures

Another Day in February

Another day in February, much like the last. We are having another small weather event in between our balmy sunny days. Temperatures this month fluctuate between 30 degrees Fahrenheit to 50 or 60 degrees (even one day in 70’s).

Today, is more like the February we like. Although a little sunlight would be welcome. Over cast with snow, sleet, and drizzle did not deter us from a woods walk. The Girls are game any time. Same place, same boulders, different day.

We meander through our woods as I attempt to capture the mood. Still the sweet scent of damp trees and earth escapes a camera lens.  The sounds of sleet pelting my hood, and a little stream land on deaf pixels. If  lucky one photo might evoke emotion.

February

Extraordinary February

Winter osculates, spring seeps in, clouds shower again with wonderful snow.
Wind blows and powder from trees creates a blizzard all over again.
If only I could capture, and hold it all the palm of my hand.

The Girls ecstatic with joy, the wonder of snow. Could it be any more prettier.

While others experience snow for the first time.
I forgot sheep don't exactly go for "walks". They like snack along the way.

Even boulders and tree roots embrace this season.

For eternity
