"I love my Bear", Said Willow Sunshine

I know I have posted photos of this before, but it is just way too cute.  Here is a video of Willow Sunshine with her favorite bear.

Father Daughter snuggle

Just a few more photos of Nash and Willow Sunshine together.  Sunshine often curls up close to Nash, he loves her companionship. It is hard to resist a few photos to capture the moment, as all is so precious and fleeting.

Brother and Sister at 12 1/2 years old

It has been several years since Ziggy has visited, but this year she has been coming around more frequently.  It is interesting to watch how she and her brother interact.  I believe they still recognize one another.  This is evident by the way Nash allows Ziggy certain liberties, which he does not extend to other visitors.  I also see it when they first greet one another. In their youth they would romp and bounce around, now in their autumn years, they politely say hello.  I love the photo of the two them together on the bed, another liberty not extended to all.  Mostly what I love is the connect to Willow and all the memories they encompass.  I recall their birth, raising them, their puppy hood, and previous Ziggy visits.  The day I recorded for hours Willow, Nash and Ziggy hanging out in the front yard at our "cottage in the woods" . Now here the siblings are, side by side, as if sitting in their rocking chairs on the front porch reminiscing.

Porch Open for the Season

We officially moved onto the porch this week.  The first night sleeping outside was interesting, the dogs kept waking up to bark at the sounds of the night.  Ziggy, Nash's sister, and her house mate, Jerry, are here for a few days.

Pearl loves her Man

Pearl, 4 months old - 2009, liked to be close to Nash, to the point she was willing to sleep on the arm of his favorite chair.

When I first brought Pearl home from Canada she took to Nash right away.  I think mostly, because he was more active, and engaging than Willow at 13 1/2 years old.  Pearl copied everything Nash did, and she was a quick study.  All she had to do was watch him once then the next day she gave her new lesson try.  Once Pearl matured she stopped copying Nash.  The one thing she caught onto was his affection. She would watch my interaction with Willow and Nash, and watched how Nash gave his affection to his mother, Willow.  Nash told little Pearly more than once to chill out, so Pearl was cautious when she approached.  It was so endearing to watch, as she lay on her side, and carefully wiggle up to Nash, as he was groomed Willow.  Invariably this resulted in a few licks herself.  Total Bliss, was her expression.

Now, Pearl has Nash all to herself, and boy does she throw herself at him, except for when she is in heat, then its "don't you dare touch me, don't even look at me"!

Here is a short video clip of this mornings love session.

Morning at Camp Labrador

The great thing about having a huge porch off your bed room is, you can stay in bed and watch the dogs play.  They run from the porch and into the bed room, bounce off the couch, and then ricochet back to the porch.  It can get really WILD!
The not so great thing is a wood floor that gets trashed from the fun, and furniture and carpets get rearranged.  It's OK, my canine friends are with me for only a short while.  It prompts me to clean too.

Acrobatic Willow Sunshine

This video clip is only seconds long, but watch closely as Sunshine leaps on top of Bodie.  The display is only half a second long, but I think pretty cool.
